Job Description

The mission of Intel Labs is to drive technology leadership for Intel. This includes coordinating research and development among several business groups and aligning Intel's strategies and technologies with future industry needs. System Architecture Lab (SAL) in the Systems and Software Architecture (SSA) Group in Intel Labs conducts research to identify innovative technologies and capabilities for end-to-end and cloud infrastructure and solutions.

We are looking for highly motivated intern working towards his/her PhD degree with a passion to conduct new exciting research to optimize the emerging heterogeneous Intel architectures. In this position, you will work with researchers and CSPs to understand emerging workloads and investigate new optimizations and architectures to optimize performance, energy and TCO. This is an excellent chance to work on a high impact project with both research focus and industry impact, with goals to publish research papers in top tier conferences and contribute/influence industry practice.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

·The candidate must be pursuing a Master degree or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or in related field

6+ months experience in below areas:

·Operating systems, networking, and distribute systems.

·Systems background (Linux, C/C++, Python/Bash/Make)

Preferred Qualifications:

·Computer architecture

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $63,000.00-$166,000.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
