Azure Core Capacity Services form the backbone of Microsoft’s Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring that both internal services and external customers have reliable access to compute, storage, and networking resources.

Our team is responsible for developing the orchestration engines that power workflow hosting, job execution management, and the delivery of robust APIs and telemetry. We enable declarative provisioning, dependency-aware orchestration, and enforce service-level agreements (SLAs) to maintain operational excellence.

We take a ground-up approach to engineering, designing and implementing custom algorithms for high-speed processing of massive datasets and pioneering secure, high-throughput data transfer solutions.

A Principal Software Engineer on our team is expected to be deeply committed to building Azure from first principles, embracing the challenge of minimizing reliance on external technologies that could introduce latency or instability.
